Blackball Cultural Foundation Inc. is legally incorporated as a nonprofit corporation under the laws of the State of Georgia. Mission

The mission of Blackball Cultural Foundation Inc. is to preserve, promote, and educate the public about Black baseball history, Negro League traditions, African American cultural heritage, sports history, youth development, and related educational and cultural initiatives.

The Foundation supports historical preservation, educational programming, exhibitions, community engagement, research, archival projects, and public awareness efforts that advance understanding of the contributions of Black athletes, entrepreneurs, and cultural leaders.

Federal Tax-Exempt Status

Blackball Cultural Foundation Inc. has been incorporated as a nonprofit organization and is pursuing recognition as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Organizations recognized under Section 501(c)(3) may receive tax-deductible charitable contributions and may qualify for various grants and funding opportunities.

Blackball Cultural Foundation Inc. is a legally incorporated nonprofit corporation and is in the process of seeking federal recognition under Section 501(c)(3). Until IRS recognition is received, the Foundation may operate and carry out its mission and may accept donations and support. If approved, federal tax-exempt status may be recognized retroactively to the organization's date of incorporation, subject to applicable IRS rules.

Governance & Accountability

The Foundation is governed by its Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and applicable federal and state laws.

No part of the organization's earnings may be distributed for private benefit. All organizational resources must be used to further the Foundation's charitable and educational mission.

The Foundation does not endorse political candidates and does not operate for private gain.
